Diane Drake

Diane Drake is an accomplished screenwriter, consultant, instructor, speaker and author. Her produced original screenplays include ONLY YOU, starring Robert Downey, Jr. and Marisa Tomei, and WHAT WOMEN WANT, starring Mel Gibson. Her original script for ONLY YOU sold for $1 million, and WHAT WOMEN WANT is the second highest grossing romantic comedy of all time (Box Office Mojo). Both films have also recently been remade in China with major Chinese stars, and WWW has just been remade by Paramount Pictures as WHAT MEN WANT, with Taraji Henson in the Mel Gibson role.
Prior to becoming a screenwriter, Diane worked in development as the Vice President of Creative Affairs for Academy Award-winning director/producer Sydney Pollack. She’s a member of the Writers Guild of America and recently authored her first book, GET YOUR STORY STRAIGHT, a step-by-step guide to writing your screenplay.
